Structure Only Survey
This type of survey (a.k.a Structural Appraisal Survey) is an assessment of the condition of the main structural parts of the property and is less detailed than the Full Building Survey. It is suitable for all types of property both residential and commercial and is often used by clients who wish to have a conditional assessment of the main structural parts of the property without wanting the in depth detail of the property which the Full Building Survey offers. The survey and report comprises:
- An appraisal of the form and materials of construction of the main structural parts.
- A technical analysis of significant defects revealed and guidance on appropriate further actions.
- Identification of less significant defects, general disrepair and shortcomings in the physical condition and maintenance.
Typically, our Structure Only Surveys will include inspections of roofs (internally & externally), walls (internally & externally), floors, chimney stacks and parapets, along with any defects such as dampness, structural damage, timber decay, etc.
